35P pump failing

Back to List

The condensate pump on my 35P is getting increasingly loud.  What can I do to quiet it?  Is there a replacement I can purchase, I don't want to go through the return process again and without a humidifier for weeks for a second time.

Dear Neal De Pape,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the increasing noise from the condensate pump on your AlorAir 35P dehumidifier. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

A noisy pump can often be resolved with some simple troubleshooting steps. Here is what we recommend:

Inspect the Drain Hose: Please check the drain hose for any kinks, sharp bends, or flattening. These can restrict water flow, causing the pump to work harder and become louder. Ensure the hose is routed in a way that allows for smooth and unobstructed drainage.

Clean the Pump Filter/Inlet: The pump has a small filter or inlet screen that can become clogged with sediment or debris over time. We recommend cleaning this filter according to the instructions in your user manual. This often resolves noise issues by ensuring a consistent water flow into the pump.

If the noise persists after performing both of these checks, the pump itself may be nearing the end of its service life and require replacement.

To order a replacement pump or for further assistance with the troubleshooting steps, please contact our customer service team directly at [email protected]/(888) 990 - 7469 or by visiting the "Contact Us" section on our official website.

We are here to help you get your dehumidifier back to optimal performance as soon as possible.

Best regards,
The AlorAir Team
