Dehu used and now going to storage

My Alorair dehu has been in use and will now go to storage.

It was unplugged without allowing fan to stop or allowing for 10 min defrost and drain.

Should I turn it back on and allow it to complete these cycles?

Should the filter be removed and dried separately for storage?

Ok, thank you. It was unplugged 5 days ago and has been draining but I will plug it back in.

Hi Kimberly, please start your dehumidifier and allow it to finish defrosting and draining. (This will prevent water from flowing out when you handle the machine, and prevent water deterioration and odors from storage). The filter does not need to be removed and dried separately for storage.
