PuriCare 1100IG Air filtration System compared to PuriCare 1100, its unique double ionization technology produces equal amounts of positive and negative ions. Particles in the air are charged by ions, which cause the particles to aggregate and be captured by the filter. And the trace amounts of ozone produced during operation can neutralize harmful pollutants and odors. Even in a 1100 sq. ft.carpenter's shop/DIY house, the device also works great.

Highlight: Built-in ion generator/ Remote control with a built-in timer /Sheet metal spray shell /Automatic operation function

Benefits

Adding a negative ion device to a woodworking dust collector is a concept not usually found in woodworking shops. The idea behind using negative ions (also called "anions") is to clean and freshen the air, and they are more commonly associated with air purifiers. The installation of such a device in a dust extraction system for woodworking offers the following advantages:

Improved dust collection - some advocates believe that negative ions increase the likelihood that particles in the air will clump or cluster together. If this is the case, larger clumped particles can be more easily captured by the dust collector.

Neutralize positive ions - Friction from electronic equipment, certain types of lighting and even woodworking tools can create positive ions. The influx of negative ions can help balance the number of ions in the air, which some believe has an impact on health.

Reduce odors - Negative ions can neutralise odours and reduce levels of harmful chemicals in the air. In wood workshops, especially when certain paints, adhesives or types of wood are used, there can sometimes be strong odours

Possible reduction of microbes - Some studies show that negative ions can reduce bacteria and viruses in the air. Although wood workshops are generally not a high risk for these pathogens, any additional reduction can be beneficial, especially in a closed environment.

Maintain Lung Health -Inhaling wood dust has been linked to many diseases, such as dermatitis, asthma, various allergies, and cancer. However, simply having a dust collector in your workshop will not provide sufficient protection against this dire consequence. Air filtration systems designed for woodworking workshops can purify the air by capturing particles as small as 0.001 mm. Dust collectors cannot capture particles of this size. Thus, without using an air filter, you risk exposing yourself to life-threatening wood chips that are too minuscule to be caught by other purification systems.

Improve Your Mood - Dual-ion technology charges air particles with extra electrons, dispersing negative ions for deep cleaning. It also minimizes dust, dander, pollen and other allergens and pollutants. It will bring you a pleasant experience.

Clean Your Workshop Even When You Are Away - It makes sense to keep the PuriCare 1100IG running after you've left the workshop, but the last thing you want is to leave the unit running all day without needlessly draining power while you're away. With the auto-off feature, you can choose between one and six-hour timers with the included RF remote to clean the air. Thereafter, the system will shut down independently. Avoid having out-of-control electricity bills.

Easy Installation, Simple Operation, and Low Maintenance Cost - The PuriCare 1100IG Filtration System is pre-assembled, so you solely need to determine where to place the unit. Be sure to check out our instruction manual. It's easy to operate and doesn't take much time to learn. When it comes to maintenance, the system doesn't require much attention other than occasional filter changes and weekly cleaning.

Applications
An air filter would be a great lifesaver for anyone with sensitive skin, allergies, asthma or other respiratory issues. You never know when your staff/customers will get sick from the dust flying all over the store.

The PuriCare 1100 IG is designed to improve air quality in medium to large woodworking or metalworking workshops (i.e. saws, sanders, planers). It is specially strengthened in motor and air volume, which can absorb pollutants from machines, pads, tools, walls and windowsills more efficiently.

Additionally, its unique double ionization technology makes particles in the air charged by ions, causing them to aggregate and be captured by the filter. At the same time, active oxygen is generated to remove odors, volatile organic compounds (VOC) from tobacco, food, pets, paints, mold and mildew, and even carcinogenic formaldehyde emitted from furniture, laminate floors, and wooden cabinets. This makes it perform better than HEPA filter.

The system also works well in similar environments such as renovations, warehouses, salons, print shops, and other enclosed spaces.

Great product and excellent packaging!

This air filter system is a great addition to my workshop. It came packaged better than anything I have received. There were corner protectors inside the box and ample padding inside. No rattles were noted before I installed it or after. The construction seems solid and the filter looks to be sufficient for my needs. I will need to see how readily available the filters are local for the future, but I am sure I can obtain them since they are of a consistent size to many other models. The remote works from any angle and is easy to use. The system returns to the last setting used when you power it back on. Only time will tell how well this holds up, but it seems like a great buy.
Good and almost great unit

Filtration system is in my 500sf woodshop. Yes, the unit is big for the space, but I did not want to tax the smaller size. While unit is loud, that seems irrelevant because I wear ear protection when sanding, planing, and cutting with the dust collector on.so the air filter does not matter. It works well in my setting. The first remote failed in a week, and AlorAir struggled to replace it, eventually sending me an entire replacement system. Customer service was phenomenal (thank you Jen)! As a follow up.when I returned the original unit, I included the unopened hardware and exchanged the filters, returning as much new stuff as I could, seeing no reason AlorAir should have to replace them. Jen reached out and informed me they would send a set of filters for my trouble. Great customer service and I am very happy with the air filter system
Does a great job !!!

Wow this thing moves some air! It is very nice with the 3 speed fan settings we really only need to keep it on low but the high speed and the air ionizer really make fresh crisp air. We have a 1200 sq ft shop and this unit does more then expected. We spray painted a chair and had this running on low was amazed barley any spray paint smell with it running. This company make some good products we also have their dehumidifier.

One of the most satisfying points for me is that the PuriCare 1100IG remains running after you leave the workshop, but with the auto shut-off feature, you can select a timer of 1 to 6 hours to clean the air with the included RF remote control. Thereafter, the system will shut off independently, which avoids incurring runaway electricity bills. This feature really suits me, as I am a busy person who tends to forget things. It is also worth saying that this machine is really effective in the function of sawdust collection.
Excellent product and amazing customer service

The unit I purchased is good. It works the way it is supposed to. It’s an air purifier. What’s even better is the customer service I received when I called this company. if I could give them ten stars, I would. There’s super polite, helped me, and were very prompt with their service. Highly recommended. If the unit were $20 more, I would still buy from them because of their service. Worth every penny.

This dust collector can be easily fitted on a benchtop or other work surface where dust is being produced (Easy carrying handles allow easy mobility, rubber feet prevent marring). Built-in RF remote controller allows for operation from any angle of the room.

Questions

Can this be used for cigarettes or cigar smoke ?

Alorair on June 12, 2023

Not sure. But, the nicotine that gets filtered out by designated smoke filters would most likely ruin this type of filter system.
Can this help with fumes from paints?

It may depend on the amount of air you need to move. In our application we were just trying to remove dust.
I could use some help. I want to set up an air filtering system in my wood shop. Is it important to have a dust collector and a purifier?

Alorair on May 06, 2023

Yes, having a good dust collector and air purifier in my opinion is a must! The dust collector is your immediate source capture when cutting, planing or sanding. Not everything is taken by the dust collector. The intent of the air purifier is to get the fine particulate that can float in the air in your shop for hours. Bottom line, protect your lungs. Wear a good mask in addition to the other two devices. Dust collector, consider a 2 stage. I use an Oneida Super Dust Deputy and Laguna Bflux.
Where are replacement filters available? Are they the same filters as Jet?

Replacement parts will be provided by contacting the company's support team. And the size of the filters can be referred to ASIN, respectively B09V4FLMN6 B09V6QHBKM
Does this come with a schematic? are there replacement parts for the controller board? This is a common issue with jet and jdr units.
