· Before using it, keep it steady in an upright position for about 30 minutes to allow the refrigerant and other internal components to settle
· If the unit is newly delivered, let it settle for about 12 hours before using it
· Make sure that your desired area is well-sealed by either shutting all windows, vents or using other barriers
· It must be connected to a grounded electric source to avoid accidents and damage
· Make sure you have the right power supply to avoid electrical issues
· It is not suggestible to use an extension cord as well as a power adaptor
· Use the control panel or remote to set your desired level of humidity
· The surface in which it is set to operate must be leveled and steady
· Do not position the discharge and inlet onto a wall
· Never tamper with the internal components while the unit is running
· Always maintain a 6ft. distance from any form of obstruction

I originally purchased this unit on 9/16/2020 from Amazon. I installed it myself in the crawlspace of my home on the day following its arrival. Installation is a matter of reading and correctly following the clear directions that arrive with the unit. Installation is virtually plug and play even at the age of seventy-eight and done solo in my case. I enjoyed great service from the until just recently, April 2023 at which time the unit operated but did not dehumidify my crawlspace. I contacted the AlorAir team, discussed the issue and the team leader who advised me to try a few different methods to attempt to get the unit to dehumidify. These attempts did not help. I informed the team leader who immediately looked for the guarantees that came with the unit. It turned out that AlorAir could send me a new, same model unit, at a very reasonable replacement cost. This was an easy decision. The unit replacement is now functioning quite well in my crawlspace. Just as important as the quality of the AlorAir Dehumidifier unit was the customer support at AlorAir. I was fortunate to deal with the same individual whom I contacted several times. This individual was incredibly supportive, understanding, and had an exceptionally good knowledge of the product with which I needed assistance. This support was very refreshing and very much appreciated. I have had this unit installed and running continuously for almost 3 years. I had one problem with the pump and the customer service responded quickly with information on diagnosing the the problem and a replacement pump. I had it up and running in less than a week.

Had a lot of condensation and standing water on top of my plastic in crawlspace Installed the unit ,closed up all my vents,and set it to 50%. Returned 3 days later,all the puddles were gone. Set the level to 45%. The level in the house all dropped from 55% to 48%. I think this is a good investment..
