• Before using it, keep it steady in an upright position for about 30 minutes to allow the refrigerant and other internal components to settle

We have a crawl space near a lake wiyuhihpgh humidity levels. I originally bought a dehumidifier with pump and constantly had issues where the pump stopped working. This was perfect since you do not need to worry about a tank and I have not had an issue with the pump. There is a noticeable difference in the humidity level in the crawl sand seems to be working perfectly.

Exceptional Quality. The five year parts warranty and all metal construction says it all. It even provides some direction in the manual how to clean or replace the condensate pump which is often a problem with dehumidifiers. Much better quality than those sold in box stores

After reading the reviews on this dehumidifier, we decided to try it for our crawlspace. The installation was easy and the unit was not as heavy as I thought.
I set the humidity to 50 percent and let the unit run. The humidity in the crawlspace was averaging in the 80 percent range. Within minutes, the humidity began to fall. When I woke up this morning, the level was at 55 percent.
The unit is very quiet and easy to set up. The only question I had was the size of the drain hose for the pump, so I called Customer Service before I placed the order. FYI...the size is 6mm ID (1/4") and the OD is 10mm (3/8").
See attached humidity graph from yesterday till today.
This dehumidifier does everything as stated by the manufacturer. We will see how it works in the coming months. I highly recommend this product.

This dehumidifier is rated for up to 1300 sq ft. My home is 1500 sq ft and the unit is keeping up great and keeping the humidity level below 50%. Normally 43-47% The unit is quiet, easy to install, and the multiple drains (pump and gravity) make it a versatile option of homeowners. I strongly recommend getting the remote mounted screen so you can easily keep tabs on the unity without physically checking on it.

Boy, I really wanted this to work...DRAT!
I took delivery of an HDi65 w/ pump. I live on a 48-ft boat in San Francisco. My boat is somewhere between 600-800 sq feet and I wanted to dry out after all the rain we have had (my previous Haier dehumidifier broke down). At first, it appeared to be a great machine, smooth running. However, after 4 days of continuous use, I see that I made a mistake.
1) These Alorair dehumidifiers donot work well in cool temps (under 65F). The coil never seemed to get that cold and the air never really felt dry (never got below 50% Relative Humidity). I wanted everything to DRY out, not normalize at 50% RH. (Yes, I know boats are not its main application.)
2) Annoying little things: the air filter takes effort to snap out and I was never able to screw on the pump drain hose retaining nut. Arrg!
3) Alorair written material (marketing and manuals) is grammatically horrendous. For an American company that sells its products in English-speaking countries like the UK and Australia, that is more than a minor typo or oversight.
Customer service was helpful. After a few minutes, we determined that I wanted too much from their expensive dehumidifier. And now I need to return it at MY COST.
These Alorair products are to be used in warm/hot weather, apparently. But donot depend on their poorly written marketing material to tell you that!
The capacity of the water tank is about 150g, and the water pump has its own one-way valve. When you say the pump drains 1 pint, do you mean the amount of water drained in one hour? If so, that's normal
