Our basement is moldy, this dehumidifier is a lifeguard! It does a good job of reducing humidity. It is also very quiet compared to other dehumidifiers we have. I think this is important! I have connected the hose so that it empties itself. Definitely recommend it to anyone with water problems.

This dehumidifier is the best, easy to understand instructions, and easy to operate. In the cold weather, we had a lot of condensation inside the single-pane window of the back bedroom, and it dripped down and started to grow mold on the wooden window frames. Can't say how long it can last, but it looks very good and it has a 5-year warranty. We set it to 40% humidity and really pump out the water in the air. The bedroom window in the back window is dry. No condensation can be seen in the morning.

I live in southeastern Michigan and I just bought a house with a large basement (>2000 square feet) and it has a mold problem. I borrowed a dehumidifier from my sister and it worked well, so I bought one myself. At first, I installed the dehumidifier, connected the drain hose, and discharged it into a sewage pump. I am satisfied with this matter-it keeps my 2,200 square foot basement always at 40%-45% humidity. When there is no dehumidifier, I find that the humidity is around 70%-75%, which greatly exacerbates the mold problem-you will smell a big difference. Excellent dehumidification effect, especially when draining to the hose.

Actually, when my pump failed during heavy rain, I had a small "flood" all night, but when I woke up, the water on the floor was completely dry (the dirt was left behind), and My machine is still running and undamaged.
