The quiet unit works well!
I am using this in my 2500 sqft home garage. I have attached 70 ft of tubing that goes along the floor and out the garage door. The unit keeps down the humidity to 50%. The smart WiFi app lets me control and monitor temperature and humidity without going down to the garage.

When my garage was built, it was too expensive to connect the sewer system, so I did not install it. When winter hits, the snow melts in the heated garage, and then the water goes everywhere. It's incredible how much water can come off of two vehicles! I made some parking mats to capture the water, but then there was no way to get rid of all the moisture in the air. The humidity gets so high that condensate forms on the windows and then drips down the wall!
I put the LGR Extreme in the center of the 1200 square foot space, set the humidity to 50%, ran the condensate line out a previously drilled hole, and I was off and running. This machine is much quieter than my last box store unit. I also like that it has an easily accessible pleated filter. This unit also has a condensate pump, so as condensate forms in the unit, it is periodically pumped out the discharge hose.
Although you will pay a little more for a commercial-grade unit, you also get commercial-grade quality and performance. I am sure you will feel it is worth the money.

The product came well packaged and solid. The cord and hose are good quality, and a light in the plug indicates a live power socket. Handles on top make it easy to move around. The unit can be programmed to run using the onboard LCD or connect two different ways via WiFi. There are several programming options not found on the usual dehumidifiers (such as controlling purge function). The device also gives a lot more real-time information, such as both intake and outlet data. It has a memory restart which I need because of frequent power interruptions.
After downloading the App to my iPhone, I set the unit up using the home WiFi option. It took me a couple of tries to get The software installed because I wasn't reading the directions on the iPhone. Once I followed the instructions correctly, everything was installed OK. I can now monitor and control the unit remotely.

We have had a chronic humidity problem in the basement, but this beast dried it out. Easy to set up, user-friendly control panel. I love this little thing very much. I ran it continuously for a day and then changed the setting to maintain 45-50%, and it cycles on and off. I love the drain hose with the pump feature. I am so glad I decided to research myself and came up with Alorair.

I have over 1000 hours on my unit, and it's been trouble-free. It has kept my machine shop dry and my tools rust-free. I don't have an ac unit in the shop, but I still want to keep the moisture down. I can't believe the difference with and without this unit. Our environment is very humid, and we often have large temperature swings that would cause my machines/tools to sweat and rust. This machine is very practical. A leak in the bathroom caused the whole bathroom to flood. After I dried everything, I found that the carpet was the hardest to dry because it sucked up too much water. I bought this machine because I was afraid the carpet would get mildew when it soaked. One of the most important points to me was the automatic control of wet. I need it to run continuously, using a hose for output. I have a drain that I run the hose to, so this is far more convenient to me than dumping the bucket daily. Since it will do up to 2300 square feet, my 960 is not a problem. I open up all the basement doors and leave it running. Everything stays nice and dry, and there is no basement smell.
