Can't sign in on my dehumidifier app

I have a Alorair Storm LGR Extreme Smart Dehumidifier.  I can't sign in on my app. I press the sign in button but nothing happens. I have a iPhone and a Samsung tablet app and neither of them work. I spent an hour with a Alorair service rep and was finally told that the problem is due to an update to the Alorair app and that my dehumidifier remote capabilities are now obsolete and unfixable. Please tell me that this not the case. My dehumidifier is only 4 years old.

This is extremely unethical for Alorair to do and I am sick and tired of fake apologies. I received zero notifications that Alorair was updating their app and that change would remove my remote capabilities without any method of a fix. And all guys can say is oh tough luck and sorry that's just the way it is. What kind of company does such a thing. I spent hours trying to get to the bottom of why my app wasn't working and you guys knew all the while and were gutless to inform your customers that you were screwing them over! The whole reason I spent over a thousand dollars for this Alorair dehumidifier was for it's remote monitoring capabilities and now it is useless to me. I have no idea if my dehumidifier is on or off, or even on fire! And here is another example of Alorair's shady business practices; your offer to me was a 10 percent discount on a new Alorair purchase.  What an disgusting insult. My dehumidifier is only 4 years old and has a 5 year warranty. Nothing short of a complete replacement at Alorair 's cost should be the appropriate and honorable response. I hope you feel fine about screwing your customers who spent their hard earned money and put their faith in your company. Shame on you!
