Use of A5/A6 on Sentinel HD90

Back to List

Please confirm that connecting a normally open (NO) high level water switch in an external condensate pump to terminals A5 and A6 is the correct use of these terminals to shut down the dehumidifier.   The manual reads, "The A5/A6 on the terminal strip can be used as a water level warning switch for external condensate pumps."   This is poorly written.  Thank you.

Agreed with STeven, this does not still clearly answer the question.  The website shows no recommended external condensate pumps, so I too like this customer have a commonly used pump - Diversitech LCP-20 that has RUN and COM terminals.  I know that i need to add 24VDC supply to it but you've not made it clear whether the RUN or COM goes to which terminal on the unit, and i'm sure if I blow the control board by wiring it wrong, you won't honor your warranty.  Either point me to your recommended pump on your website or provide more clear answers

The A5/A6 port is used to connect the water level alarm switch of the external condensate pump. You mentioned that this normally open (NO) switch can be directly connected to A5/A6. If the NO switch closes when the water level is too high, the dehumidifier will shut down.
