Sentinel HD55 frosting and humidité sensor problem

Hi,
I purchased the Alorair sentinel HD55 dehumidifier from Amazon in June 2023.

Since its installation it starts very often (every 7 minutes) and the humidity level indicated on the screen seems higher than reality (more than 10% difference). The filter is completely frozen when the temperature drops to 50F. The auto defrost system does not seem to be working. I unplugged the device for 3 days and replaced the filter. The ice on the filter came back quickly.

there seems to be a problem with the humidity sensor and the defrost system.

It is installed in the crawl space which is renovated, heated and very clean. The temperature is between 50F and 68F.

I didn't expect to have any problems with this product. My device is under warranty. What is the procedure to resolve the problem quickly and free of charge?

Hi Alexis, we're sorry for that. The refrigeration system is operating abnormally and we hypothesize that this could be caused by a refrigerant leak and a moisture sensor issue.

Have you registered for a warranty? If not, please submit a warranty registration(Warranty Registration (alorair.com) and contact our customer service(sales@alorair.com).

I also explained to them the problem you're having, and they will help you solve it properly.
