AlorAir-R Lite / Storm LGR1250X / ios - Loss of Connection

Back to List

I have had my AlorAir Storm 1250X unit for about a week now. It has been doing a great job lowering the humidity level in the house.

In the near future, I plan on installing this unit into my crawl space where it will not be easily accessed. Remote access via Wi-Fi and the AlorAir-RT Lite app on my iPhone will be critical (one of the main reasons I bought this specific model/unit - remote accessibility).

1) The AlorAir-R Lite App (on iOS) shows V2.0.0 in "settings" menu. There is a red dot next to the version number that suggests I need to update to a new version, but I'm not finding the newer version in the App Store...

2) Since setting up the dehumidifier on the first floor in my house, every morning the AlorAir-R Lite App on my iPhone losses connection with the unit.

When this happens, I have noticed that the app reports the "Last Online at" time for the unit is in the future. The MM/DD/YY date is correct, but the time is 8 to 10 hours in the future (not the past). For example, its now 8:30am, but the last "Getting Sample" shows 03:25PM. Other parts of the App will show 15:25 (Same time, just in 24hr format).

The Time/Date issue is annoying, but the complete loss of communication (requiring accessing the physical keypad on the unti) is a show stopper for me. I'm delaying moving the unit in to the crawl space until this remote connection becomes more robust.

Any suggestions on what I can do to avoid the loss of connection issue?

FYI - I have a newer router (installed 4 months ago) and the dehumidifier is currently within 25 feet of the router with direct line of sight between the two - So please don't suggest I move the dehumidifier closer to the router).

More Info - The Display on the dehumidifier unit itself, is showing a blue Wi-Fi symbol (with a white check mark) in the upper right corner of the main menu. I don't believe the 1250X is losing connection with the Wi-Fi in the house. Feels more like to App is having issues communicating with the unit... Once again, any suggestions would be appreciated...

Hi Barty,
We want to see the Dateplate of the machine so that we can identify the version of WF.

Hi Barty,

You just need to update your wifi firmware program. The latest firmware program will fix the device shutdown problem.

Additional knowledge: The wi-fi firmware program here refers to the wi-fi chip program on the control panel. So you don't need to download the latest software.

please provide us your email address, we can provide you the operation video and pics.

Thanks for the help -  barty@barty.com is my email address.

I found an "item" on the AlorAir-R Lite App (IOS) that suggests the firmware is up todate. But I can't find anywhere in the Control Panel or the IOS App that specifically tells me which version is currently installed...

Feature Request: I can't find anywhere (maybe I over looked it?) in the Control Panel of the 1250x or the IOS App that tells me the what SSID the unit is currently conmnected too,.. It's assigned IP Address... Or the MAC Address of the unit. It would help with troubleshooting efforts with the WiFi....

Humm... I sorry I don't know how to attach a picture of the Dataplate to this message... Hope this Info helps -
